Hello and welcome to my personal website, thanks for visiting and I hope you read on a little.

So who am I and what do I do?

Until 2008 I worked as an account handler in advertising agencies, initially in London as a graduate trainee and account manager at O&M and then GGT as an account director and the client service director, during my time at GGT I was selected as one of Campaign magazine’s “Faces to Watch” and loved the experience of developing and selling iconic campaigns to clients such as Cadbury, Mazda and Taunton Cider.

After 8 years working in London I was recruited as CEO of Guzel Sanatlar in Istanbul where I spent 5 amazing years learning about Turkish business and advertising as well as helping the agency become more international and strategically and creatively focused.  Soon after my arrival the agency signed up as the Turkish associate of the Bates Worldwide network.

After my time in Istanbul I was offered the chance to move back to London as the European New Business Director for Bates Europe and subsequently took on the role of CEO of Bates Pan Gulf in Dubai running both the local agency Bates PanGulf and the Middle East region for Bates.  In 2002 I returned to the UK as EMEA Marketing Director for Saatchi & Saatchi responsible for winning new business for the network as well as managing the network’s 20 EMEA Associate Agencies across the region, a role I absolutely loved as it gave me the chance to help mentor local CEOs as well as run training courses for their employees.

In 2008 I was approached by the EACA (European Association of Communication Agencies) to set-up the EACA International School of Advertising and Communications whose aim is to help raise the professional standards of our industry across Europe. http://www.eaca.eu/#!eaca-school/cwtd

I am also a Board member of edcom (European Foundation for Commercial Communications Education) a not-for-profit foundation that brings together academics & students from 50 Universities across Europe that teach commercial communication courses with practitioners in the communications industry. We strive to improve communication and relationships between the parties and ultimately to help the best students make their way into the communications industry. http://www.eacaeducation.eu/

In 2012 Oystercatchers, a leading UK Marketing consultancy, asked me to set up their Marketing Excellence Training Academy and we help transform the marketing teams of a growing number of blue chip companies. http://theoystercatchers.com/

Why it might be good to talk?

So that’s me in a nutshell, I am married with two children, living and working in the UK. I love people with energy and passion and enjoy helping connect people.

Above my passion and expertise is in helping train and develop the best talent in the communications industry. I am always looking for inspiring trainers so do get in touch if this is your  area of expertise and interest.

When I am not working you will always be able to find me playing hockey or coaching our youngsters at Reading Hockey Club (that’s field hockey for all you ice hockey enthusiasts!).
